Northumberland Lacrosse

Try Lacrosse for Free!

What: Boys and girls ages 3-15, come and try lacrosse for free! Just bring your own helmet and running shoes, a stick will be provided!

When: 3 different sessions will be held. You are welcome to come to 1 or all 3! Sessions will be held Jan 20 2:30-4:30, Feb 17 2:00-4:00 and March 10 2:00-4:00

Where: All sessions will be held at the Cobourg Community Centre


Speical Needs Shiny – Municipality of Port Hope

What: A social, unique time for those with special needs! Skates and helmet required for both the participant and caregiver!

Where: Jack Burger Sports Complex, Port Hope

When: Sundays, 4:00-4:50pm Starts Oct 14!

The Senior Get up and Go Program!

What: The Seniors Get Up and Go Program is a progressive exercise program for seniors 65 and older focused on removing barriers to participation in a healthy lifestyle and helping seniors get out of the house, make connections and get the recommended 150 minutes of cardiovascular, balance, and bone strengthening activity a week.

Cost: FREE!!!!

Who: Anyone who is 65+ looking for a fun and safe way to get more active!

Where: YMCA Birghton, 170 Main St, Brighton, ON K0K 1H0

When: Starts Monday, June 4 and will run for 12 weeks (until August 27)

Mondays 1:45 pm – 2:30 pm Wednesdays 12:45 – 1:30 pm Fridays 12:45 pm – 1:30 pm

Free Falls Prevention Class for Seniors

What: Trained healthcare professionals will lead you through the falls prevention classes. These classes have two components. The first 30min will be used to educate participants on falls prevention. The second half of the class will a light exercise class focusing on strength and balance.

Cost: FREE!

When: Times vary based on location.

Where: Bewdley, Campbellford, Cobourg, Colborne, Hastings, Port Hope and Warkworth
